Scandinavia 2003

On the following pages you will find the travelogue of our vacation to Denmark, Sweden and Finland in July and August 2003. From the Netherlands we drove via Germany to Denmark, to Randboldal close to Billund, to visit Legoland. Via the island of Funen we went to Stockholm and from there we took the ferry to Finland. After visiting Helsinki we went to Tampere and from there to Oulu. Hilleke has a friend in Oulu and we stayed with her and her family for a few days and also a few days in their cottage in Simo. From Simo we went on a day trip to Rovaniemi to visit Santaclaus who lives on the arctic circle. We drove back through Sweden and visited the 'High Coast' and the Dalarna area where the famous Dalahorses are made. After a visit to Copenhagen we went back home.
